Halloween Wishes

When I was a kid, my mom made sure Halloween was magical. We had epic parties where our house was transformed into a haunted house, each room a different theme, with dry ice in punch bowls, a real psychic, and the most perfect soundtrack. We went to parties where we bobbed for apples, she made my costumes, and the trick or treating was like winning the lottery. The ability to be anyone I wanted (which as a kid was a witch) and get rewarded for it had such a profound impact on me that's hard to put into words.  I'm grateful my mom understood that Halloween provides children with a respite from all the real darkness in the world, even if just for one night. So in her memory I'm starting Halloween Wishes where people can sign up to grant the Halloween wishes of others who wouldn't otherwise be able to celebrate (think Operation Santa but for Halloween).
